Use Tube of ISI mark only.
B. Replace Tube at an
interval of 2 years or earlier depending upon its conditions in use.

Limit use of gas on its high
delivery sparingly and switch to ‘sim’ next.
D. Some
body’s continuous presence is needed when stove is ‘ON’

Don’t try to open lid of
cooker till pressure inside subsides.
F.
Keep burner clean.
G. Don’t
put any shelves in wall over kitchen platform.
H. Keep
cooking platform clean of any oil spread
I. Switch off knob of gas
cylinder before you go to bed in the night every day.
J.
If any gas leakage smell
is experienced, switch off knob of gas cylinder. In such case, in the night,
don’t light candle or match stick. Use flash lights only.
K.
While removing and fixing
regulator from gas cylinder be careful.
L.
Keep Emergency call number
of telephone available with you readily.
A.
Don’t keep any articles
hanging on walls – Keep them fixed to the wall. Loose Articles hit as missiles
during earthquake.
B. Never place heavy object
on loft. Put them down on floor on getting a warning light tremor of
earthquake.
C.
Switch off Gas, Water and
Electricity. Use Telephone only for emergency purpose.
D. Keep
cupboards locked. Don’t stay near windows or glass partitions.
E. Be nearer to doorways to
escape. Wear shoes to move around over pricking fallen material
F. Take shelter under a table
or desk to avoid direct hits. Cover your head and neck with your arms.
G. Give
attention on radio and television of public instructions.
H. Have
emergency telephone numbers available with you.
I. If you are outside a
building stand away from building, trees, and telephone or electrical lines.
J.
If you are on road, be
away from under passes and over passes, stop your vehicle in safe area and stay
in your vehicle.
K.
Don’t get panicky, be calm,
don’t spread rumours.
L.
Don’t turn on electrical
switches, or light candle with matchstick. It may ignite leaking gas to turn
into fire. Use only flash lights.
M. If
you are in a seat in a theatre or stadium, get below the level of the back of
your seat and over your head and neck with your arms.
N. Try
to be away from kitchen or garages where there are many loose articles, which
shall turn as missiles during earthquake.
O. Be
prepared for many shocks after an earthquake. These after-shocks are dangerous
because they cause the things (those which are weakened in first earthquake) to
fall down.
P. Detailed structural
drawings of a building particularly high-rise and apartment complex building
shall be very informative for strengthening a building after damage occurred
due to earthquake. As such these structural drawing and the modifications made
in those details after earthquake during remedial measure must be retained in
safe custody for the lifespan of the building. It shall be helpful to know the
efficacy of the remedial measures taken in the next earthquake in future.
A. Do fireworks activities in
an open space and not inside the building.
B. A responsible adult is a
must when children play fireworks.
C. Never give fireworks items
to children to ignite them rather an adult should ignite it.
D. Get
away to a safe distance after igniting the fireworks. Adult know it but children are to be told of in this respect.
- Never make fireworks
of your own and then experiment it openly. Have fireworks of standard
quality.
